BTW, that weird comment about Marx reminds me of one of a favourite passage from Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass":

'I never ask advice about growing,' Alice said indignantly.

'ONE can't, perhaps,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'but TWO can. With proper assistance, you might have left off at seven.'
