Children's literature is a probably a good place to start to read more in English.
It is relatively easy, although not completely without challenge, so that you could read through a book quickly. The relative effortlessness encourages one to continue reading in English, and therefore continues to fan the enthusiasm, in addition to the enjoyment and fantasical quality of which we all can use more. We can progress from there.
I plan to read more of children's books, and you are welcome to join me--I am happy to have the opportunity to make up for my missed childhood/young adulthood.
The next one is Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster, the link of which will be posted shortly. The ignorant me was not even aware of the existence of this book previously, it was recommended to me by some young people who studied English language at university. The plot has a hint of the cinderalla complex, yet language wise it is much more difficult than Little Prince, and it has treasures in it too.
